methods and ethos
self love
The most important piece of advice I’ve ever received was 'to love myself,’ and to ‘open my heart.’ At the beginning of my healing journey, I bought a journal with the words “be love” on it, and I knew I didn’t know what that meant, but my mission was to somehow ‘be love’ or to ‘become love’. Through different exercises, techniques, and therapies, I’ve developed a compassionate connection to myself, and this is truly necessary for any healing journey.
If you choose to work with me, I may recommend practitioners that can help you tend to your heart and truly make room for lasting change.
declutter
Part of any deep detox, for me, is also cleaning and clearing your physical space around you. Releasing what no longer holds joy for you, letting go of items with old attachments/stories to them can be deeply freeing for parts of you and your psyche. As a true minimalist at heart, I encourage my clients to tend to their own bodies and also the spaces around them.
detox
I am passionate about detox, cleansing, sweating, chelating. I love it all. There are a myriad of chemicals in our modern world, and we do need a little extra help when it comes to making sure we’re not overburdening our livers, our tissues, our guts, etc.
I often recommend clients take part in using infrared saunas, incorporate movement into their daily lives, colon cleansing, and herbs and remedies to support optimal detox.
movement
Daily movement! A long walk, a 45 minute gym session, a Pilates class, or a few moments of yoga - any form of movement that suits you can aid in our health, happiness, and self esteem. I’m a fan of easy, gentle work out routines (personally 30 mins 4-5 x/ week), and will always recommend clients find an activity that they truly enjoy. Many enjoy dance, swimming, hiking, or taking part in local fitness classes.
gut health
Gut health can play into different health concerns from inflammatory issues, autoimmune, skin health, and more. Many people experience gas and bloating as if it’s a normal thing - but this can be reduced using herbs and various protocols to help support a balanced intestinal terrain.
Candida and parasite cleansing is highly recommended if you are dealing with chronic health concerns.
nutrition
Nutrition, while so individual, always comes back to good quality whole foods. Whether you eat dairy, you prefer plant based, or enjoy eating meat, I will always recommend you follow what suits your body best.
I create meal plans based on a client’s goal and meal type preferences. Typically, it comes down to avoiding refined sugar, heavily processed foods, high amounts of alcohol, and opting for fresh, whole foods that create balance for your body.
